Like every summer I like to explore the shoreline and eat in new places. This places is located in the middle of Niantic. The food was delicious and portions were very big. We ordered the fish and chips and fried clam strips. The service was excellent, they give you soda refills for large orders. Ambiance was nice with views to the Long Island sound. This place has definitely one of the best fried seafood in the shoreline of Connecticut. It worth the trip to Niantic

Skipper's is a nice place for a fast-casual meal right by the water. It's so cool that the train goes by too! We enjoyed the clam strips, hot lobster roll, and fried scallops, which we don't see too often on menus! The lobster bisque had a different flavor than we were used to, and my fiancé randomly ordered Mac and cheese because he thought we should have another side, and it was more buttery than cheesy (but that's on him for ordering Mac and cheese from a seafood shack lol). We liked that they served Gifford's! We had a nice cup of Maine Blueberry as our dessert. Come for the classic fried seafood dishes and enjoy the beautiful view and ocean breeze!

Customer service was super. We order cheeseburgers with curly fries OMG! It was so good and juicy. Also got their coleslaw Wow it was delicious . Everything was awesome. Would go back for more...

It's the quintessential roadside New England roadside eatery. Big deck outside with a lot of shade. Staff was super friendly. I was after fried shrimp. The menu said (7) so I thought to myself, I'll order another if I'm still hungry. To my surprise they were huge, butterflied shrimp. I opted for curly fries which were also perfect. The coleslaw was also delicious. My wife had a tuna melt with the regular fries and it too was a great meal. Keep up the good work Skipper!

Lobster roll came with butter on the side, which was great cuz nobody wants a soggy bun. Service- staff were friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. Ambiance- casual with a nice view of the ocean.

I ordered the platter and it came with fried fish, shrimp, french fries, scallops, clams, and coleslaw. The food was made fresh and to order. The fish was very tender, flaky and seasoned. Shrimp was butterflied and quite big. The clams were battered and fried. scallops were slightly fried but retained tenderness and moisture. It had a little bit of everything for $35. Definitely a place to stop bye for some fried seafood!! 7.5/10

Great fried seafood with a great view. The service was friendly and quick. The fried seafood platter (with whole Belly clams) was so gooooood. I like the variety of the platter, I can't just pick one thing to get so it's perfect I'm a huge fan of their Cole slaw, it's the perfect consistency with the right amount of "wet". Highly recommend!!

If you haven't been here you do not know what you're missing! I found this place on a whim because I wanted to venture to Niantic for Mother's Day and I've been craving fried clam strips. Boy did I pick the right place! The place smells heavenly right when you walk in. Friendly most young and very pleasant staff. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating options and they have high chairs which is always great in my book. I had the clam strips dinner which was about $20. It came with a huge portion of fried clam strips and French fries both of which were exceptional. I ate half and took a whole half of it home. The tartar sauce was outstanding - fresh and full of flavor. My husband had the fried scallop roll which he devoured. I tried a piece of one of the scallops (which I have never eaten before) and was surprised by how good it was! We got the grilled cheese kids meal for my daughter. We loved this place and we can't wait to go back next time we go to Niantic. We went shortly after opening and I'm glad we did because when we were heading out just after 12p it was getting very busy!
